The Windsor Historical Society Digital Library Post Card Project
The Windsor Historical Society Post Card Project (WHSPCP) is an ongoing archival project designed to preserve and disseminate post cards which depict historic sites and activities in the town of Windsor, Connecticut.  This site contains all the documentation for the WHSPCP's development, including mission statement, collection policies and organization, resource description, access and use, service features, interface design, and enhancement, evaluation, and maintenance plan.
While this preservation and dissemination project site shows the feasibility of creating the WHSPCP, the actual creation and implementation of it will require additional time, resources, and personnel.  Further input from users will be required along with an expansion of content materials. The intention of this digital library, however, is to provide a centralized, adaptable location for the research and sources gathered thus far and to offer a workable plan for its full implementation.
