Stephen Posner works at the science-policy interface. As a sustainability fellow at the University of Vermont and a doctoral fellow with the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics, he conducts research on the impact of ecosystem knowledge and teaches courses in environmental studies. He also co-coordinates an undergraduate leadership program in which students model and encourage social and environmental responsibility among their peers.
As a consultant, Stephen provides analysis and decision support for resolving social-ecological issues. He received a BS in astronomy and physics from Haverford
College, studied science education at Stanford University, and earned an MS in natural resources with a certificate in ecological economics from the University of Vermont.
