About PCC

Founded in 1958 to promote the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, the Porter County Chapter (PCC) of the Izaak Walton League is a leader in protecting air and water quality and protection of open space. We work to promote conservation and sustainable use of our natural resources in Northwest Indiana, and to educate the public on these important topics. The PCC chapter boasts dedicated lifelong me
mbers who are regional leaders in wilderness protection and conservation.

Video and pictures from our events frequently go up on our
Youtube site (  ) and our Facebook page (  ).
The PCC frequently partners with area organizations to accomplish our mutual goals of conservation and education; check out the links below to see who we work with!

Save the Dunes

Our members support conservation efforts in a number of ways.  Here's one of the most beautiful: bat, bird, and butterfly boxes that provide habitat for these creatures.  Bats in your backyard will keep the mosquito population at bay.  Contact us to purchase a box.
