CELEBRATING 500 YEARS
This year is the 500th year of Martin Luther and the Reformation. In part of the celebration, there is a book, The Reformation, by Cameron A. MacKenzie. A preview copy of the book is on the table in front of the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall. If you would like to order a book, see the sign-up sheet on the table. If you order by October 12, the cost is $22.49. Make checks payable to POP, place in an envelop marked Reformation book and place in offering plate.

COOKIES OR SOUP IN A JAR
You can pick up your jar(s) today or next Sunday, September 24th, after each service. There are extra jars available if you did not preorder or would like more. They make great gifts! There is a free-will offering to support our Missionary, Molly Christensen.

LWML RALLY DAY
The ladies of our congregation are invited to attend the LWML Fall Zone Rally on Saturday, October 7th, 8:30 am, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 600 5th Ave, Mount Vernon, IA. The presenters are Willis and Carol Wulf. They have gone on mission trips to Vietnam and will share with you first hand how in all nations, God has brought faith through the Word. There is a sign-up sheet posted on the board by the kitchen.

FELLOWSHIP TODAY
The Human Care Committee will serve treats today. They will have a free-will offering to help cover expenses for meals they get at Naomi’s Kitchen for meals. Your support is appreciated.

THANK YOU
Sharon and I would like to thank the Human Care Committee for the meals and support given to me following my stroke late August. It was very much appreciated by Sharon and I. May God Bless you all. Gary H.
