Announcements

ALTAR FLOWERS  today  are given to the  glory of God by the Morrone family in honor of all graduates and by John and Carol Fredrick in honor of their anniversary

WELCOME TO PASTOR DENNY who is filling in for Pastor J.T. this morning.  Pastor J.T. will be back tomorrow.

GOURMANDS will meet at 5:00 pm on Thurs., June 1st at Lu’s Sushi & Chinese Restaurant at 2001 S Naperville Rd., Wheaton (south of Town Square center diagonally across from Banana Republic. For directions see the map on the bulletin board.)  To make a reservation, contact Jim Bestman.

BOOK CLUB  Initially published in 1912, the first of Zane Grey’s best sellers, Riders of the Purple Sage became a prototype for western novels.  The plot’s focus is a proud young heroine who’s determined to defend her Utah ranch alone against rustlers and villains, until a stranger rides into town. This is a book that appeals to both men and women.  Join us on Monday, May 22, at 7pm in the church library.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNVERSITY begins Thursday, June 1 at 7:00 pm.  This class teaches basic budgeting, debt elimination and avoidance, saving, retirement planning, insurance, investing, relationships and more.  And it’s done in a fun, biblical way.  Learn more at daveramsey.com

AS YOU DO YOUR SPRING CLEANING, remember to set aside those treasures you no longer need or want so you can donate them for the Rummage Sale in Sept.  Do NOT bring them to the church yet as we have no room to store them.  Tuck them away in your basement or garage until Sept. when we can start collecting items.  Thank you for thinking ahead.
