Who We Are

The Poolville Community Club, chartered in 1922, is a group of dedicated local citizens that oversees the Poolville Community Center. The club ensures that the center is well cared for and available for use by the community, and organizes events for our neighbors to gather.

The Poolville Community Center

The Center is an icon of the rich and complex history of Poolville, NY, founded in 1830. Built around 1913, the building was originally used as a school house until 1957, when Earlville Central School decided to close the school permanently. The Poolville Community Club purchased the building for $1.00 on August 6, 1959 and took over the building, utilizing it as a community center. Up until about 2001, the Poolville Fire Department called it home as well. In 2007, club members won the right for it to be the polling place for Madison County, Town of Hamilton, District 4. The most recent initiative at the Center is a full renovation of the kitchen in 2021. Donations for maintaining the center are always welcome!

Winter Farmers Market

Unfortunately, there will not be a Winter Farmers Market for the winter of 2021-2022. We are hoping to bring it back in the future. For more information email: poolvillefarmersmarket@gmail.com.

Booking the Community Center

The Community Center is available for your next event. Wedding? Family Reunion? Graduation Party? Whatever your occasion, the center is a wonderful place to host your event. The center has a full working kitchen, is handicap accessible, has two bathrooms and holds about 70 people.
