About me

Thanks for stopping by..

I am a Masters student at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. I have a keen interest in operating systems and have undertaken some projects to get some insight in the field. I am a member of the OSCAR lab at Stony Brook and am currently working on developing in in kernel file system that optimizes writes. I have also designed enhancements for the rudimentary JOS operating system that was developed at MIT and is an exokernal system. Apart from systems, I also undertook course projects in computational biology and wireless networks.

I am also interested in the field of computer vision. I interned at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay where I augmented the process of Aadhar authentication. The Aadhar card in India is analogous to the SSN number in the US. My team developed an optical assembly that used the camera of the Aakash tablet, to capture the fingerprint and process it further. I also developed an automated number plate recognition system in my final year which used an artificial neural network to perform the character detection routine.Additionally, I interned at Tata CMC, Hyderabad where I researched on the offline capabilities of HTML-5 and implemented the same in the company's  FACTS application (used by federal offices for maintaining culprit records). I have also worked under the ACM chapter of VNIT and interned at SINE Labs, IIT Bombay.

I am an avid follower of music. I also love playing an occasional game of chess and enjoy hiking.
