SCARA Golf Day 2024

The annual SCARA Golf day was held  on 16 May 2024,  once again at the excellent Bentley Golf Club near Brentwood.

This year twenty two SCARA  members and their guests gathered at the Essex course to compete for the prestigious SCARA Rose bowl trophy, so kindly donated by Lady St Johnston fifteen years ago now .

The format was the usual 4-ball match which went very well in a combination of sunshine and showers.  Everyone had a good time and the day was  quieter than usual because Nigel Chew could not join us as he was in Calcutta on business!!   

The event closed with a hearty meal and the prizes presented by SCARA chairman David Cross.

• Longest drive:  Simon Brown

• Nearest the pin:  Mike Shoesmith  

As last year all participants wanted to record a big vote of thanks to Adrian Malupa and Steve Gawler for organising a very enjoyable days golf.  Here’s to 2025!
