Eric Posey

Anyone involved in the North Atlantic or Pacific trades with P&O Containers or P&O Nedlloyd will probably remember Eric Posey.  Eric sadly died in 2008, but his friend and former colleague Scott Sigman has passed on the news that his wife has written a book which may be of interest to others.

The following first appeared on EXPO, the Facebook group for former P&O Container staff:

A book has been published about the cancer and decline that good-natured, cheerful, yet self deprecating sales and marketing colleague, Eric Posey, VP Sales USA MidWest-Chicago P&OCL/P&ONL endured.

Written by Eric's wife and caregiver, the book "If You Do Nothing You'll Die" (Tomex Publishing) has come highly recommended as an enlightening tribute, especially to the last 5 years of Eric's tragic decline after a brain tumor was removed and he was left with memory problems, and a demeanor that enabled him to demonstrate only a shadow of his formerly commanding self. Industry colleagues, P&O company staff, as well as others with the tariff and software company he joined shortly before his diagnosis, offered unique support, along with his family and friends. Order this book and encourage others you know to get it as well, for their library, or for a gift as the holiday season approaches.
