In addition to participating in our handbill workshop, you will have the opportunity to have a new headshot taken by professional photographer Roberta Caughell. For just $10 (cash only) you can get a professional photo to use for your LinkedIn profile, as well as other professional documents like a portfolio or business card. Be sure to come early (between 8:00 - 8:30 a.m.) and signup, as spaces are limited. And remember to dress professionally.
Join us for this follow-up workshop where you will have an opportunity to get feedback on your handbill. Come prepared with several copies to share and an open mind.
Your handbill should be a single page, easily read document that includes a brief summary of your experience and identifies the types of positions and companies you are targeting. It can direct your networking conversations and help connections identify contacts, companies, and events that may help your job search. A handbill focuses on the future while a resume documents your past performance.
