SILENT AUCTION
Every other year the Catwalk Theatre Guild hosts a silent auction during the spring musical. This year it’s Legally Blonde and runs March 14-17. The auction is an opportunity for artists, business associates, and pretty much anyone to help raise money for the Pomona theatre program. The Catwalk Theatre Company is a non-profit organization and the silent auction is a significant fundraiser. The funds from the auction support our students, directors, and program. It enables all interested students to take part in the inclusive environment, and exceptional productions and curriculum provided by our directors.
We’re currently looking for donations for the auction catalog and display during auction week. Past items have included movie ticket packages, tickets for sporting events, attractions, and restaurants. Artwork and memorabilia are popular as are services—auto repair, plumbing, photography, etc. We’ve even had fish, frogs, life-size aliens, and condo time! Artisans, service providers, businesses—this is a marvelous opportunity to share your skills and make yourselves known. This is a place for all things and all interests.
If you have anything, know anyone who does, or have questions, contact Wendi Hill (303-947-2958, dwhill66@msn.com) or Marianne Peterson (303-463-8163, matrpeterson@hotmail.com).
Let’s support our Catwalk Theatre Company!

Bright Ideas Parent Tech Day
To Every Parent and Theatre Supporter:

As a member of the Catwalk Theatre Guild, each of you has the opportunity to be an artist. It doesn't matter if outside of the Guild you are not an artist in the strictest definition, you are an artist here. Whether you help build sets on parent tech day, work the concessions table, take pictures, offer new ideas for the way things have "always been done"—the list goes on, and you do it with the intent of enhancing the theatre experience, encouraging and advocating for all of our students, then you are an artist in the most meaningful sense of the word. Our students are artists--they perform onstage, behind the curtain, at the sound booth, in the light booth...they are artists. We have an opportunity to be a part of what they are doing and support the directors and teachers as they endeavor to guide our children in more than just performing, but also about being a team, taking responsibility, setting priorities, being true to themselves, and trying new things. So, whether your appreciation for theatre comes from your child's enthusiasm, or it has always been a part of your life, you choose to be an artist and it's time to venture into your artistry.
