CLC - the CL client

The CLC is a Polyhedra executable consisting of the CL engine running stand-alone (rather than running as a sub-component of the Polyhedra database server). It can be used to write client applications, using the same CL language as is used to write trigger code attached to a database. Its main use is for writing helper applications or for prototyping client applications. The CLC reference manual (appended below in PDF format) describes how to run and use the CLC executable; the CL language is covered by a separate manual, and there are also manuals describing the communications classes, schema classes and utility classes you can use in your application.

To view the manual online, click on the name of the manual below; you will have to be logged on to a Google account to do this. To download the file for off-line viewing, click on the downwards pointing arrow  at the end of the line or click on this link. Customers who have developer licenses for a full version of Polyhedra (on any platform) can download a ZIP file containing the full set of Polyhedra reference manuals: contact the Polyhedra help desk for instructions on accessing this.
