I am a machine learning scientist in the Strategic and Data Analytics Division at American Family Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to that, I held a research position in the Video Analytics Team at the Palo Alto Research Center.
I hold a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Delaware and a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from the National University of Colombia. My doctoral dissertation proposes a wireless body area network-enabled ECG that uses compressive sensing to reduce energy consumption, on-sensor computation, and to achieve high compression ratios with outstanding signal reconstruction quality.
