JCC Recycling Program Update

  1. Old carts (gray with green lid) will be collected following the last collection in June.
  2. Leave carts at the curb following collections after June 15.
  3. New carts (gray with a tan lid) will be delivered between June 15-30.
  4. Acceptable items beginning July 1:
    • Plastic bottles and jugs
    • Glass bottles and jars
    • Cardboard
    • Metal Cans
    • Mixed Paper
  5. Items left outside the cart will not be collected.
  6. Recycling will continue to be paid by the County through Sept. 30.
  7. Residents will pay $7/month for the curbside service beginning Oct. 1.
  8. Bills will be mailed mid-August. Payment is due by Monday, Sept. 16.
  9. Opt out of the curbside program after July 1 by filling out the online form or calling the hotline.

Trash Collection Rules

  • Trash Collection is every Wednesday for normal bagged household items. Items must be placed in a bag inside your trash container. Bulk items will not be collected. It is the resident's responsibility and expense to have them disposed of properly.
  • Containers must be brought to the front curb on later than 8:00am on Wednesday and not earlier than 6:00pm on Tuesday evening.
  • Containers must be returned from the front curb to inside your fenced area by 6:00 Thursday morning.
  • Trash and Recycling containers are not to be stored outside your fence.
  • Residents that do not comply will be subject to enforcement per the governing documents.

Our Trash Service Provider will not pick up yard debris or household bulk items. (Appliances, Furniture, Bikes, etc.)

Williamsburg Regional Library Mobile Services

Mobile Library Services (MLS) is now providing library service to Pochontas Square. Mobile Library Services' vans are full of resources - books, magazines, DVDs, computers with Internet access - which the residents in your neighborhood can use free of charge.

MLS will be in Pocahontas Square every Thursday from 5:45 - 6:00.
