Mark Cohen, PMP is currently the senior program manager for Datalogic Scanning in Eugene, Oregon. He is responsible for global programs/projects supporting the development of handheld scanning devices.
Mark’s career began in product development as a model-maker of toys, top-secret government projects and Las Vegas casino attractions. In the early 90’s, as a team member in the invention of the Create-a-Card kiosk, his role changed to project management for logistics and production.
Mark’s expertise lies in creating cooperative bridges over cultural boundaries; in the creation and governance of project management methodologies and tools; and in the various prototype and production methodologies used to support new product development.
For the last four years Mark has been a volunteer for PMI supporting the Eugene branch of the Willamette Valley chapter. His role on the board of directors began as the vice president of membership and today he is the acting president. He resides in rural Elmira, Oregon with his wife of 17 years and the last of three children living at home. His hobbies are travel, golf, home remodeling and reforestation.
Shaun Wilde, PMP is currently a business strategist for Hewlett Packard with more than twenty years of professional experience. Ms. Wilde joined HP in 2001 and has led a variety of international projects from a new start up retail business to technology commercialization.
As a principle in Wilde Ventures, she works with companies to develop a lean focus. She is also a Director for the PMI, Healthcare SIG.
Wilde’s twenty year career spans multiple industries from textiles, agriculture, high technology, and government. She has worked with many well know organizations such as, Hewlett Packard, Levi Strauss & Co., University of California Berkley, and the Department of Energy.
John has owned his own technology consulting company where he has assisted many companies with M&A’s, network infrastructure designs, network security, project management, and many Web database applications. Co-founding Websuccess.com in 1994, John anticipated the enormous potential for growth the then-young Internet would offer businesses, large and small. Clients included the San Francisco Giants, Perot Systems, and Habitat for Humanity. John also has lectured and taught courses on network design, computer security, Web site designing, and computer programming for several colleges in California and Oregon.
John holds an MBA in Information Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology Network Management. He is Microsoft certified in MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA, MCSE: Security, and MCSA: Security and also holds GSEC and Security+ certifications. In the past he held board positions with other professional organizations including the treasurer of the Western Oregon chapter of Information Systems Security Association.
Jen graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1996 and is currently working on completing the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Jen began her career as a self-employed Website designer/developer in 1996 and with a successful internship for a summer at Hewlett Packard in Vancouver, WA. She has 12 years of programming and development experience and 4 years of project management experience working for a local nonprofit. She most recently worked as IT Project Coordinator for International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
Jen volunteered for the Eugene Public Library beginning in 2003 for three (3) years. She began volunteering for the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2007 as the assistant to the VP of Education for the Eugene Branch of the Willamette Valley Chapter. In 2008, she was elected as the VP of Education and in 2009 was elected to the VP of Programs position for the 2009-2010 board year.
Jen grew up in Eugene, Oregon. In her spare time, she plays indoor and outdoor soccer, hangs out with friends and family, reads science fiction (sci-fi), is a member of a monthly sci-fi book group, and recently became the proud new parent to two kittens starting July.
Royce Tokar, PMP is currently a Project Manager for Lane County in the Information Services Department. Before working as a project manager Royce was a Senior Programmer and Systems Analyst with the Oregon University System.
After graduating from the University of Oregon with a bachelor degree in mathematics, Royce has worked in the information technology field for over twenty years, the past four years as a project manager.
Royce played softball and volleyball for Humboldt State University, and for nearly 20 years in Eugene city leagues. In the last ten years she has changed her hobbies to distance running, hiking and golf.
