BLUES WEEKEND PT 2 - Lewis Hamilton - Sun 4th Aug

Part duex of our fantastic weekend of live music sees the super talented 19 year old Lewis Hamilton return to The Howff for his second visit.  Gaining critical acclaim since his debut album Gambling Machine and follow up Empty Roads the only way is up!  Finding the very best of Scottish musicians in his Jocks Juke Joint trilogy, Lewis and co. can live up to the name of one of the hardest working bands in the country.  Fresh from Maryport Blues Festival the power trio of Lewis, Nick and Santa promote third release Ghost Train, and hit the Howff for a sunday session which after the last performance cant be missed! Support comes from Dumfries starlet Maxy Hogg from 3pm

The fabulous Dana Dixon Band find their way to The Howff on Saturday 3rd August.  Gaining rave reviews from the UK and the US alike, Dana is fast becoming a star, gaining the reputation as one of the best female blues harmonica players in the world. Kicking off at 9pm this is one to look forward to to start the BLUES WEEKEND AT THE HOWFF

Guitarist Paul Mackay, Bassist Kev Farish, & Drummer Ben Child deliver a hot combo of funky rockin’ blues with: powerful emotive velvet vocals; large filled rhythm playing & soaring lead solos; a meandering bass layer that weaves the cloth of persuasive percussion embedding the sound & sensation of Crow Dog.

After playing Dundee's Blues Bonanza Crow Dog stop off at The Howff before hitting the main stage at this years Cockermouth Rock Festival in July.
