PLAY Conservatory was born in summer 2007, when children's Theater director and veteran teacher Jonathan Dunski was asked to offer a summer Theater program for children and youth as part of the summer enrichment programs at St. Pius X High School. Since then the company has grown to offer year-round programming and has partnered with several local theater organizations and venues (including N4th Theater, Aux Dog, South Broadway Cultural Center, and Albuquerque Little Theatre) to produce 19 unique and challenging projects. Also, incorporated into our season is a menu of workshops.
An esteemed training ground for young Theater artists, PLAY Conservatory is often called upon to recommend young talent for various plays, movies, and other professional opportunities in the Albuquerque metro area.
PLAY Conservatory is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our mission is devoted to serving young people: we offer unique and challenging Theater experiences for children and youth. In doing so, we create works that play to every generation.
