Scholarship Details:

This scholarship is awarded to deserving brothers who are able to demonstrate that they went "Above and Beyond" in any role/job/duty involved with Phi Kappa Psi NY Theta.

A leadership position is not a requirement - you can demonstrate going "above and beyond" by significantly participating in the life and work of the fraternity. Financial good standing is not a requirement, although if you are on financial bad standing, the necessary amount (less than or equal to the scholarship amount) will be sent to the Treasurer to help settle any debts, and any remainder shall be mailed to you as a check. If you are on financial good standing, the entire amount shall be mailed to you as a check. The amount of the scholarship equals the amount of the previous quarter's dues.

All application material must be submitted by the deadline (non-negotiable).

Hard Deadline: Monday Week 2 of the semester, 5pm Eastern

Eligibility criteria:

  • Academic good standing (including grades from previous semester).
  • Active undergrad status (i.e. required to pay full dues) in the chapter OR co-op status.
  • Financial Standing determination (excluding current semester's dues). Note: Financial good standing IS NOT A REQUIREMENT. However, if not in financial good standing, the statement from treasurer must also list your debt to the fraternity as of your application date.
  • A two page essay submitted by the applicant describing how he went "Above and Beyond" in his role in Phi Kappa Psi. Remember, a leadership position is not necessary, as you can demonstrate your ability to go "above and beyond" by significantly contributing in any way to the life and work of the fraternity.
