Pius X Baseball on Twitter

Lincoln Pius X is one of the best programs in the state of Nebraska. In 2005 and 2008 our varsity spring team was the district runner-up and qualified for the State Tournament. Our varsity spring team has been District Champions in 1961, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1992, 1998, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022. In 2012 our spring varsity team won the Class B State Championship for Pius X. In 2013 the team fell one run short in the title game of repeating as state champions. They then won back-to-back State Championships in 2014 and 2015! The team finished 3rd at State Championships in 2017.

The Pius X Thunderbolts, like all other schools in the state, have a relationship with the nationwide American Legion summer baseball program. The Senior Legion team was State Runner-up in consecutive years from 1993-95. In 2000, 2005 and 2016 our Senior Legion team was Class A district runners-up and qualified for the State Tournament! Our 2008, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Senior Legion teams were the A-5 district champions, finished 3rd in the State Tournament and was one win shy of a regional berth. The Junior Legion team was the A-5 district champion in 1998, 2008, 2011-2013, and was the State Champion in 1994 and again in 2013!

Pius has been recognized as one of the most dominant teams in Nebraska High School Baseball in recent history.
