Welcome 
The Pittsburgh Pharaoh Hounds is the region's leading running club for competitive runners. We provide a friendly environment and support to help you train for that next big race. Attend one of our weekly workouts and meet the team! If you're interested in joining, email our director or one of coordinators. You can join officially for a small annual membership fee.

Workouts
Tuesday practices are at the Schenley Oval; 6:00 PM warm up, 6:30 PM workout. Locations/times of long runs, tempos, and running economy (RE) workouts are by agreement (subscribe to our mailing list!).

Upcoming Weeks:
  • Tuesday, June 25, 2019:
    VO2: 10-16 x 600 with 200 meter jog  
  • Tuesday, July 2, 2019: 
    VO2: 5-8 x 1200 rest 3 min jog (rest can be longer if needed for full recovery) 
  • Tuesday, July 9, 2019: 
    VO2: 4-6 x mile 3.5 min jog (rest can be longer if needed for full recovery)
  • Tuesday, July 16, 2019: 
    VO2: 5-8 x 1200 rest 3 min jog (rest can be longer if needed for full recovery)  
  • On your own:
    RE: 12 x 400.
    Tempo: 5 miles.
  • For marathon preparation:
    Remove RE, reduce VO2, and increase tempos (see more in Training).
