Erev Shabbat Parshat Shemini
Candle lighting 7:47 PM

A temporary bypass has been established (details below). The eruv is kosher.

The hillside on Imogene Road (near the Homestead Grays Bridge and Weinberg Village) collapsed on Wednesday. The collapse took out a number of utility poles, some of which were part of the Eruv. As of Friday morning, Imogene Road was closed and crews were still working on the collapsed hillside. Rabbi Silver and our contractor who fixes the Eruv have implemented a new eruv border that bypasses the hillside. The eruv map remain effectively the same.
