The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) is a program that encourages high school students to explore interests in science and mathematics through the pursuit of research projects. The Pittsburgh Local Section provides special
awards to the PJAS Region 7 competition, each February. Three awards of $100 are given to students whose presentations
are related to nuclear science, nuclear technology, or an energy-related topic.
