Lambda Alpha

Lambda Alpha is a nationally recognized anthropology honors society.  Our chapter aims to supplement an education in anthropology by aiding independent research projects, encouraging philanthropic activities and engagement in campus activities.

Semester Meeting Schedule Fall 2017:
Meetings take place once a month on Wednesday nights at 8:30pm on nights when Anthropology Club doesn't meet.

September 13        Introductory Meeting/BPhil v. Honors Project: what's the best                                    choice for you?
October 11             Conference Experience: How to get the most out of attending a                                 conference
November 8          Workshop: How to make a conference poster
TBD                        Symposium of Undergraduate Research in Anthropology at Pitt

Meeting locations will be announced prior to the meetings.

Requirements Include:
  • Maintain a 3.25 GPA in Anthropology and a 3.0 GPA overall
  • Attendance at monthly Lambda Alpha Meetings
  • Attendance to at least three Anthropology Club Meetings
  • Pay Dues
