In this page you will find non-academic information about me, in the form of F.A.Q.
Which sports do you like?
I love water sports. Ever since a child I sail (mainly Dinghy Sailing): Skiffs are those I enjoy the most, but also catamarans can be really funny! I also practiced waterpolo, triathlon, swimming.
The sport I devoted most time/effort to is rowing. I competed for 4 clubs: Caprera and Cerea, in Turin (Italy); AUNL, in Lyon (France); AT, in Toulouse (France).
Since 2008 I'm not practicing any sport on a regular basis. Occasionally I swim, run & play football (despite I'm very bad at it!).
I'm not fond of watching sports, exception made for waterpolo, rugby & volleyball.
Which are your favourite books/films/music?
I'm not picky, but usually what I love the most are books and films that when you start you cannot stop until it's over, and also those that make you think about some philosophical aspects of life. Some authors (in alphabetic order) that I loved reading: Aristotle, Bulgakov, Hornby, Larsson, Murakami, Nothomb, Pirandello, Poe, Saramago, Svevo, Tolkien, Voltaire... and watching films like A clockwork orange, The usual suspects, Seven...
I rather enjoy most kinds of music, spanning from classic to pop and rock. However, what I like the most are acoustic rock, indie and light metal. Among the concerts I've enjoyed the most... Bon Jovi, Dolly (France), Guns 'n Roses, Ligabue (Italy), Litfiba (Italy), Louise Attaque (France), Mr. Big, Skunk Anansie, Subsonica (Italy).
