Welcome to Hydrogeology Lab, Department of Applied Geology, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

The Hydrogeology Laboratory conducts research on the physical and chemical processes that govern groundwater flow, solute transport, and aquifer system dynamics. Our work integrates field observations, laboratory experiments, and modeling to advance understanding of subsurface hydrologic processes and their implications for water resources. We address challenges related to groundwater quality, aquifer characterization, hydrogeochemical interactions, groundwater–surface water exchange, environmental sustainability, seawater intrusion, contaminant transport, etc. We welcome collaborations with researchers, institutions, and industry partners to advance hydrogeological science and its applications.
