Ping LIU's research interests include computer vision and machine learning. He received his Ph.D degree under the supervision from Prof. Yan Tong, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of South Carolina (SC). He also worked with Prof. Ivor Wai-Hung Tsang, as a visiting student. Before joining SC, he was a research assistant in the Intelligent Systems and Biomedical Robotics Group (ISBRG)University of Portsmouth, UK. He got his Master Degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), WuHan, China; Bachelor Degree (EE) from Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), WuHan, China. He worked in Sony US Research Center (San Jose, CA), ArcSoft (HangZhou, China), and GuangDong Nortel (GuangZhou, China) for almost 3 years.
