The special supplement food program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides specified nutritious foods and nutrition education to pregnant and breastfeeding women and infants and children up to age 5. Clinics are held monthly in all areas of the county. WIC is available at the Pillager Family Center on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. Child and Teen Checkups (CTC):
This program is based on the preventive health philosophy of discovering and treating health problems before they become disabling. CTC includes a check of height, weight, hearing, vision, development, a physical assessment, nutrition counseling, immunizations, and lab work for hemoglobin, lead, and a urinalysis. Children from 6 months to 12 years can be screened. Child and Teen Checkup clinics are available on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Pillager Family Center. The Veterans Services Division is part of the Health, Human, and Veteran Services Department. Our goal is to provide unparalleled customer service to the veterans of Cass County, with an emphasis on individual needs and personalized benefits counseling. Our customers have paid in advance for these services and deserve only the best. An individual’s right to privacy and confidentiality is always respected. We are happy to assist veterans or their dependents on a walk-in or by appointment basis and we also offer service in several satellitte offices, such as Pillager, throughout the county.
