  Summer 2017 Dance Announcements

See you at Leedy Grange Mondays July 3, 17 & 31!

Special family hour in July, and guest teacher Aaron Alpert on July 17!

See photos at Facebook - Israeli Folk Dancing in Portland, OR

Dear dancers,

Join in Mondays at Leedy Grange, Mondays, July 3, 17, & 31 for dancing, including the new Family hour 6:30 to 7:30 pm

Family hour is a fun way for kids and parents (grand too) to learn about the stories behind the easy-to-learn dances. such as Yesh Lanu Tayish (We Have a Goat), and Hashu'al (About a fox that likes to steal grapes from the vineyard!). After Family hour we have regular dancing and teaching until 9 pm. Adults are welcome to stay if kids are quietly occupied.

On Monday, July 17, our special guest teacher from CA is Aaron Alpert. Aaron runs the dance session Nirkoda! in Palo Alto and is also the director and host of Camp Nirkoda Ba'Kerem, Oct. 27-30, in the heart of Sonoma Valley --combining the fun and excitement of Israeli dancing with the best of California's wine heritage -- including a first-of-its-kind wine tasting at a dance camp.  See nirkoda.com.

$6 / $10 Family. First time FREE.

Keep dancing in mind, body, & spirit!

Dancing at Leedy focuses on classics created between mid-1950s to about 2000, with a sprinkling of modern dances. Taught by Sue and guest teachers.   $6/$10 couples at the door. FREE for first timers. This summer we are adding Family Nights for the first hour. Thank you for your smiling faces and happy feet.
If you would like a copy of our dance list which includes
videos please email me at pifdnews@gmail.com.

Next beginner's class with Allison begins July 19
