Rosamond Tudor van der Linde is a noted piano teacher, pianist, and author of numerous articles for music journals. She has founded five ongoing music schools in the U.S.A. and Canada, as well as one in the Caribbean. Her students have won regional and national competitions in piano and composition, and some have had their works performed in Carnegie Hall.
Rosamond has given master classes on pedagogy
and contemporary music in Holland, Australia, the Caribbean, Japan, and New
York City’s Steinway Hall. She has lectured at Boston University, The Longy
School of Music, Erie College, Dartmouth College, Bennington College, and
Ithaca College. She has served as President of the Music Teachers’ National
Association in the State of Vermont.
She and her husband, Rein van der Linde,
were inducted into The Vermont Academy of Arts and Sciences, for outstanding
contributions to the cultural resources of the State of Vermont.
