It's De-Lovely

It's De-Lovely is a Cole Porter hit-song originally performed by Ethel Merman in Porter's 1936 musical Red Hot and Blue.

The song was later used in Porter's musical Anything Goes, first appearing in the 1962 revival where it was sung by Hal Linden and Barbara Lang. In 1936 and 1937, hit recordings of It's De-Lovely were made by Eddy Duchin, Shep Fields, Will Osborne, and Kitty Brown with Les Brown's Band of Reknown.

Robbie Williams sang the song in Cole Porter's biographical movie De-Lovely (2004). In the 1950s, the Chrysler Corporation used a version of the song to advertise DeSoto automobiles.
