Chithrabhanu Perumangatt


I started my work at CQT from July 2017. My area of focus is photonic entanglement and related quantum protocols. I would like to explore different degrees of freedom that light can posses in order to increase the information capacity. My goal is to develop high quality hyper-entangled photons and use it in the implementation of many interesting quantum protocols.

I have done my PhD from Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, under prof. R P Singh. My thesis title is “Entanglement of polarization and orbital angular momentum in quantum and classical sources: implications and applications”. I have experimentally studied properties of Bell-like states in classical optics. In such system I have studied the non-separability of OAM and polarization with the Bell's inequality measurement and its properties under scattering. In the quantum system, where we have entangled pair of photons, I have conceptualized new measurement systems for OAM entanglement and introduce novel three particle hyper-entangled state which we apply for telaportation, quantum key distribution and super dense coding. Before joining PhD, I did my masters in Physics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India.
