Workshop on "Decision Making In Nature" in UCNC 2018

A Satellite Workshop of the 17th International Conference on Unconventional Computation and Natural Computation (UCNC 2018) June 25-29, 2018, Fontainebleau, France [link]

Scope of the workshop

Decision making has been intensively studied in a variety of scientific disciplines ranging from neuroscience, economics, psychology, physics and information sciences. Understandings of decision making observed in nature from the viewpoint of computing and system modeling are beneficial to gain insights into the nature as well as their utilizations in a variety of applications. The “Decision Making in Nature” Workshop, a Satellite Workshop of the 17thInternational Conference on Unconventional Computation and Natural Computation (UCNC2018), aims to shed light into decision making from the perspectives of computing and modeling as well as their unique methodologies based on, for example, mathematics, mathematical physics, etc. This workshop is co-organized by photonic decision making project funded by CREST program of the Japan Science and Technology Agency [link].
