City Youth NEED Scouting!
City youth derive great benefit from Boy Scouting, and, with parental participation, there are no limits to how high a boy can soar; to Eagle Scout and beyond! Boy Scouting teaches respect for the natural environment, service to the community, self-reliance, and leadership skills training while providing an outlet for that adventurous spirit that can never be truly fulfilled in a video game. Scouting is open to youth with academic and/or social challenges such as ADHD, and Autism Spectrum, and accepts youth with allergies or dietary restrictions. No one “rides the bench” in Scouting. With the enthusiastic support of parents and guardians alongside trained leaders, young people can experience the joy, confidence, satisfaction, and accomplishment of reaching new heights!
Thank you, Councilman Curtis Jones, for supporting your constituents in Troop 1719 with an Activities Grant.
