Beekeeping training at UPMindanao

Interested individuals are invited to a “Two-day Beekeeping Training” to be held at UP Mindanao, Mintal, Davao City on December 9-10, 2008. Lead resource person is Mr. Epifanio “Boy” Loyola Jr., president of Beenet Mindanao, a network of beekeepers in Mindanao.

The training will provide participants with knowledge on beekeeping and techniques in hive management. The training will also include information on the potentials of the apiculture (beekeeping) industry and operational knowledge in apiculture as a business enterprise.

A registration fee of P2,000 will be collected to cover expenses for lunch, snacks, a seminar kit and instructional materials. A complete starter colony package, which includes a nucleus colony (one queen bee and three brood frames) and a standard hive, will be made available for sale to interested participants after the training.

Cebu Honeybeekeepers of Cebu Inc. will be handling a beekeeping seminar on Aug. 29-30 2009 at the Dept. of Agriculture conference hall M. Velez st. Capitol Cebu City. Seminar fee P1,600 - 2 days with hands-on, 2 meals, 4 snacks , handouts and certificate of attendance.
For those interested to join. SLU-EISSIF will be conducting a Basic Beekeeping Training. Here are the details for the Aug 2009 schedule
Venue : SLU-EISSIF Beekeeping Center
Address : Ciudad Grande, Baguio City
Dates : August 27 to 29, 2009 (Thursday to Saturday)
Time : 9AM to 4PM (or onwards if needed)
Training fee : P2200 inclusive of lunch and snacks for 3 days
(pay the fee when you attend the first day)
Certificates will also be given after completion of the training.
Training is a mixed classroom and field (hands-on). There's a lot of colonies in the center so everybody will have a chance to handle their own colony during the training.

For those who needs to rent a transient room, there are several "suki" transient rooms
