Dr Peter Tobin was the founding member of a new consulting practice in 1994, and since then Peter Tobin Consultancy (PTC) has grown a reputation for quality products and services delivered to clients across the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region. "There has been a commitment from the outset to combine service, value and innovation in all that we do at PTC" comments Dr Tobin. In the past quarter of a century Dr Tobin has continued to develop new products and services as well as achieving a number of professional milestones.

"In 1998 I become one of the early recipients of the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and have been continuously certified until 2020. That was followed with recognition as one the first Professional grade members of the Computer Society of South Africa - later re-incarnated as the IITPSA - during 2000, a designation maintained for 19 unbroken years. In 2014 I received the CGEIT designation - Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT - and continue to maintain that status unbroken with re-certification valid to 2021. Most recently the International Association of Privacy Professionals awarded their Certified Information Privacy Manager designation in recognition of my achievement in their professional certification examination, with that status current to 2021" adds Dr Tobin.

Over that time Dr Tobin has also progressed in academic qualifications, achieving the prestigious Henley (UK) MBA in 1995 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Science from the University of Pretoria in 2006.

PTC has seen delivery of products and services directly in 8 countries across the SADC region as well as others further afield: Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Germany, Lesotho, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, United Kingdom, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
