In 2007 I decided that I wanted to learn to play the violin.  Browsing around in the music catalogs, I found some outfits for as little as $100.

I'd like to leave more than junk behind when I die, so I thought, "Why not make my own violin, and then learn how to play it?" And so that's what I did.

I asked Will Bartruff, a master violin maker from Minneapolis, if he could show me how to make my own fiddle and he was kind enough to teach me what to do.

You can see the results for yourself.
