Lost in the Amazon
Portrait photographs from three journeys on foot and by river through the Ecuadorian Amazon to visit Huorani, Shuar and other indigenous communities engaged in a desperate struggle to survive as their land, languages, traditions and fragile ecosystem are threatened by encroaching colonists, multinational mining companies, army patrols and guerrilla fighters from neighboring Columbia.
