Updated for 2015! The American Library Association of School Librarians list of the 25 Best Websites for Teachers contains links to great sites, and correlates to the Standards for the 21st-Century Learner. There are links to media sharing, digital storytelling, curriculum and content resources. Also available on the site are links to the previous 25 Best Websites. 

Bookopolis is a social network and book discovery tool for young children. Think of this as similar to Shelfari or GoodReads for children. Teachers create a private class where their students earn points, write book reviews, and build personal reading communities. There are various tools for teachers to use to track reading progress. Best Apps for Teaching and Learning 2015

For 2015, take a look at the  25 Best Apps for Teachers selected by the American Association for School Librarians. 

This year's favorite app? This app lets you create quizzes or surveys, or access public contributions. Respondents get a pin code to "enter" your quizz. Scores can be downloaded into an Excel spreadsheet.

Glogster.edu is an online poster, and classroom project sharing website.

ReadWriteThink has a comic book generator, word family sort, story map, etc.

Science NetLinks is a K-12 lesson plans and activities

Clip Art from Discovery School  has clip art for the classroom, free to use.

Microsoft provides over 1,000 images to use for clip art.

RubiStar is a free tool to help teachers create quality rubrics.

Freeology.com  content includes graphic organizers, poem templates, calendars, classroom sighns and printables.
