We met again in July of 2024 in Columbus, Ohio and had a grand time catching up on the family news. Thanks to all who planned the reunion lunch along the Scioto River and the family dinners before and afterward.
2018 Cousins Reunion -- Athens, Ohio
The photo above was taken at the 2018 reunion in Athens. We did not meet in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, but we met again in Columbus, Ohio in the summer of 2024.

The Seel and Knight families
With my dear brother Richard C. (Skip) Knight (at right) and our good friend Richard Life in Fort Collins in 2004. Skip passed away in July 2008.
My sister Deborah Ungerleider wanted me to add a photo of her on the site, so Deb this one is for you. She was adorable at age five in a new outfit our Mom made for her.

In memory of William "Mickey" Seel (1919-1945)
Uncle Mickey enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and became a gunner on a B-29 bomber named "Ponderous Peg." On a mission from their base on Saipan to bomb Tokyo on February 25, 1945, their B-29 collided shortly after takeoff with another bomber in clouds as they assembled to fly north. All 23 crewmen were killed and no trace was found of either plane after a search by other aircraft. As a Gold Star mother, my grandmother Josie grieved that his body was not returned for burial. Mickey's name is included in a Memorial for the Missing at the national military cemetery in Honolulu.
