Training Course

Perth Sailing Club usually runs a beginners training course in May or June. The training is administered by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), who have a well established training scheme. The course will lead complete beginners to the Level 1 or Level 2 RYA dinghy sailing certificate. If you want to know more about the RYA certification scheme check the RYA Web site (link opens in a new window). The course is usually run over eight sessions of two to three hours each and will include both on shore instruction and practice on the water. At the end of the course, you should be able to handle a sailing boat in moderate conditions with reasonable ease and safety.
Places are limited so apply early to avoid disappointment. If you want to join us for this years course complete the Course Application and Information Form (link opens in a new window) and mail it with a cheque for £90 per adult or £40 per under 18 to our training officer. Details on the form.
