This year’s trainees, Munro & Molly Gauld were in the RS Quest and Euan took another new recruit Sam Geave in the other Quest. Joe Gauld tried out the Feva. Jim & Inge Galloway in the Miracle, Vicky in her Europe. Two Mirrors were crewed by Leonie Poor and sister with Gillie Amatt in the other Mirror. Peter Bevan took to the water in his speedboat Terror of the Tay.

In Sunday the penultimate Heathens race was held, in heavy rain and a fair wind three boats took to the water. The Tourist Rib Catalina passed through the fleet at the start of the race. It was Hunter Williamson in his Solo that took an early lead followed by Euan MacDonald in his Aero 7 and Andrew Porteous in another Solo. The Badger Tourist boat came through the fleet stopping at Willowgate on the second lap lead by Anne Hughes in the Safety Boat. At the Start of the third and final lap it was Euan crossing the line first followed by Hunter and then Andrew. Thanks to Officer of the Day Anne Watson and Anne Hughes for providing Safety Cover.
