ACH & Points Series

Seven boats took part in Tuesday evening’s ACH series race. The wind dropped just after the start and it took some boats over two minutes to reach the start line. Leonie Poor in her Mirror Emmental led from the start but she was overtaken by Doug Ogilvie in his Enterprise Boofuls 4 and James Curley in his Solo (Bear) before reaching the first mark. John Ferguson sailing the Club’s Laser despite being last off the line caught everybody up and was first over the line followed by James Curley (Bear) and Doug Ogilvie in his Enterprise (Boofuls 4).

The course was shortened to just two marks for the second race of the evening as the lighter conditions continued. It was John Ferguson in the Laser and James Curley (Bear) crossing the line first and second with Anne Bryson helming Doug’s Enterprise in third and Leonie in fourth in her Mirror (Emmental).

The Points  series continued on Saturday morning but with little wind only two boats took part in the first race.  It was Andrew Porteous in his Solo (Whooper) who lead from start to finish followed by Doug Ogilvie in his Miracle (Boofuls 3). Cadet Edward Wrigley in his RS Tera joined in for the second race of the morning but he retired during the first lap. It was Andrew who won his second race of the day with Doug in Second place.
