Fuyu Persimmon Bread

Wet Ingredients:

1 Cup of vegetable oil or corn oil

1 -1/2 cup of puree persimmon

1/3 cup of white sugar

1/3 cup of brown sugar

2 eggs

Dry Ingredients

2 cups of all purpose flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon of ground clove

Add 1/3 cup of chopped walnuts

1/3 cup of raisins

Persimmon Glaze Ingredients:

1/2 cup of pulp of persimmon

1/8 cup of powder sugar

Bake @ 325 degrees for 70-75 minutes

Fuyu persimmons and its relatives are feel-known fruit in Japan. Called "Kaki" by the Japanese, the family includes both hard and soft fruit. Fuyu Persimmons are at their best when firm with a bright orange color. They can be eaten as they come from the tree, or diced into salads, or prepared in many recipes. Add an exotic touch to your next fruit salad or fruit platter. When sliced, (FUYUS) HAVE A BEAUTIFUL STARLIKE PATTEREN which together with its beautiful color , makes an ordinary fruit dish look special. They taste delicious too.
