Exercises

More and more coming...

I am constantly working on adding more and more exercises to the application. My roadmap is vast, here are the few most important items there:

  1. Note singing exercises - with some technical issues solved I'm going to add new exercises based on audio input. E. g. exercises where you will be presented with a root note and have to sing the interval above it.
  2. Rhythm based exercises - clap or tap rhythm under metronome ticks.
  3. More theoretical exercises, like basic harmony etc.

Exercises in the current version

Interval Comparison

In this simple exercise you will need to listen to two intervals played and choose the bigger one. Simple?

Interval Identification

In this exercise you will need to listen to the interval played and identify it by choosing one of the options provided.

Interval Singing

Advanced musicians can now practice their intonating abilities using the Perfect Ear application. In the exercise you will be played a note, and have to sing an interval above it.

E. G. if you were played a C note and the task is "Perfect Fifth" you will need to sing a G note in the same octave. After that the app will tell you how precise you were.

Scale Identification

In this exercise you will listen to a scale played and will need to identify it by choosing one of the options provided.

Depending on the exercise scales are played in ascending or descending order.

Chord Identification

In this exercise you will listen to a chord played and will need to identify it and transcribe it on instrument.

Unlike all previous exercises, this time you actually need to "play" the chord on one of the instruments chosen. To do this you simply need to click on a fret on a string instrument or a key on a piano.
