Statement of faith

We Believe;

1.The Bible, including both the Old and New Testaments, is a divine revelation, the original autographs of which were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit. (II Tim 3:16; II Pet 1:21).

2.The One living and true God who has revealed Himself as a Trinity in unity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit – three Persons and yet but One God (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; 1 Corin. 8:6).

3.Man was created in the image of God, but sinned therefore bringing condemnation and need for salvation to all men. (Gen 1:26 – 27; 3: 1-15; 1 Corin. 15:21,22; Romans 3: 10-12, 22).

4.The Church is an elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body; her mission is to witness concerning the Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel among all nations; the Church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air when He (Christ) appears to set up His Kingdom.(Acts 2: 41; 15: 13-17; Eph. 1:3 –6, 1 Corin 12: 12,13; Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 1:6-8; 1 Thess. 4: 16-18).

5.Jesus Christ is God and man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died and by His death satisfied the Divine justice and provided salvation, was buried, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, mediates for those who believe in Him, and will bodily return in power and glory. (1 Pet. 2:21- 24; Philip. 2:5-6; I Corin. 15: 1-4; Matt. 1: 18-25; Mark 1: 29-45; Acts 1:11; Heb. 7:25).

6.The bodily resurrection of the saved unto everlasting life and glorious blessedness with the Lord, the bodily resurrection of the unsaved unto the everlasting conscious punishment in hell. (I Corin.15:12-57; John 5:28-29; Rev.19:20; 20:10-15).

7.That the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. (Eph. 1:7; 2:8-9; Rom.10:9-10; John 1:12; Heb. 9:11-14, 22).

8.The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ, convicts people of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, indwells every believer, sets a part a believer to God and enables him to live a godly life, guides, instructs and teaches a believer. It is the privilege of every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit, thus a believer is empowered to serve and witness for Jesus Christ. (John 15:26; 16:7-16; Gal. 3:26 – 28; Col. 1:18; Eph. 4: 15 – 16; 5:18 – 21).

9.The existence of Satan who opposes God and intends to frustrate God’s purposes and ultimately to supplant God. Satan’s end is eternal condemnation and punishment in the Lake of Fire . (Rev. 12:9 – 12; 1 Pet. 5:8; Isa. 14: 12 – 15).

10. The Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and to make disciples from every nation. The disciples must be baptized by immersion in water. (Matt 28: 19, 20; Mark 16:15; John 3:5).

11. The ministries of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are necessary for the very life existence and appropriate operation and function of the church. (Ephesians 4: 11-12).
