The theme of our symposium is “Medical Physics: Data Mining.” The Friday afternoon session consists of invited talks by experts in our field, and research talks by students and young physicists from the Penn-Ohio Chapter, followed by a night in social event (Pittsburgh Marriott North). The Saturday Symposium, running from 8 am am to 4 pm, will feature talks by students and expert medical physicists. THE PROGRAM IS APPROVED FOR 11.5 CAMPEP CREDITS, 3 SAM credits, and 9 MDCB credits. Cost of the meeting is $60 for members for early pre-paid registration, increasing to $80 after October 14th. Non-chapter and non-AAPM member physicists are welcome to attend for $60 plus a chapter fee of $15 (payable online at aapm.org or via check at the meeting). Dosimetrists and RTTs pay $40.00, also increasing to $60 after 10/14. Students are free (including those with Junior and Resident status) but need to register for $20 by the 10/14 deadline, and then will have their $20 refunded when they stay for the entire meeting. [This too will increase by $20 after 10/14.] CAMPEP MPCEC credits, SAM credits, and MDCB credits will be awarded.
Your registration will include all meals related to the symposium, including afternoon snacks on Friday, continental breakfast Saturday morning, snacks during the day Saturday, and lunch that afternoon.
A "night in" event is also planned for Friday evening to discuss MOC updates - the cost for dinner will be split with the chapter - your cost is only an additional $20 for a great buffet dinner, two complimentary beverages and lively discussions regarding our field.
