Myocardial infarct

Back to MidEssexRay

This patient was scanned for a suspected aortic dissection, which was not present. I did think on looking more closely, that the anterior wall of the left ventricle was a bit dark compared to the rest of the myocardium, and that this might be an infarct. This was something I had seen in lectures and journals, but not in my own practice.

As it turns out, it was an infarct.
