Simple Choreography, Great Music, and Healing Movement

Founded on the pleasure principle, Nia leaves behind the "no pain, no gain" model of exercise and teaches us to live actively, consciously and creatively within our bodies. Each session includes a warm-up, a fantastic cardio-workout, and a cooling down and stretching sequence.  Through this movement practice, you will learn to promote stability, strength, agility, flexibility and mobility in all of your everyday activities.  For additional information about Nia, please see the official Nia website at www.nianow.com

Pendleton Yoga & Dance Studio is owned and organized by Michelle Miller & Gary Parker.  Certified as a Nia Blue Belt, Michelle has been teaching Nia in downtown Pendleton since 2007.  A recent White Belt graduate, Gary Parker began his teaching adventure in the Fall of 2011.  They are hoping to grow Nia in Pendleton.

I love Nia with my Mom. -- Ruby Miller

I love Nia! And in general I'm not much of an exercise fan. I love the workout I get, it makes me sweat, I feel more calm and peaceful since I began doing it. Michelle is a wonderful teacher. It's all good!-- Delanne Ferguson
