Lunch Menu and Prices
The Village School offers nutritious balanced meals daily for children from the monthly main menu.
Beginning January 4th, 2016, we will be offering a fresh salad meal in addition to our daily menu offering. Students will have the choice of our main meal or the salad of the day. All salads will be served on a fresh green leaf lettuce with chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, a dinner roll, and milk. It also includes choices from our fruit and veggie bar.
Weekly Salad Choices:
Monday: Turkey and cheese
Tuesday: Ham and cheese
Wednesday: Tuna Salad
Thursday: Hummus and cheese
Friday: Grilled chicken
The Pembroke Lunch Program is pleased to announce that we now have reduced sugar cereals available for breakfast. We will be carrying General Mills Cocoa Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Trix. We also carry Cheerios and Kix. These are served with whole-wheat toast, fruit, and milk.
Whole-wheat low fat cinnamon rolls will also be served with fruit and milk, along with other favorite breakfast items.
Encourage your child to eat breakfast with us daily. It’s a great low fat way to start the day.
Each school is equipped with a point of sales service that allows you to pre-pay into your child’s account in any increment and automatically tracks each child’s credits and debits from their account.
All school meals must be pre-paid. You can access your child’s account at www.myschoolbucks.com with their student ID# and sign up for an email reminder of when payment is due. To get your child's ID #, you can contact Mrs. Mitchell (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can then pay through the website or send a check with your child’s name on the memo section, made payable to: The Pembroke Lunch Program, in any increment, based on your child’s participation. This amount will be put into your child's account and will be withdrawn on an as-used basis.
Please be aware that your child’s account, whether positive or negative, follows them throughout their school years in the Pembroke School System. If you have any questions or need more information please call your child’s school or Donna Roy Food Service Director, at (603) 485-3042.
The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program operating in over 101,000 public and non-profit private schools and residential child care institutions.
Children that were receiving free or reduced lunches last school year still qualify, for those meals, until September 30th, 2016. New free and reduced applications must be filled out to determine the eligibility for this school year. Please take time to review the guidelines and if you feel that you qualify, send in the paperwork. This information is confidential. It is in your child's best interest to receive these nutritious meals. Free and reduced eligibility include a complete breakfast and lunch with milk or juice. Snack milk or juice is not included and the cost is $.60 per day.
