posted Jan 24, 2019, 9:30 AM by cynthia peer

Peer Presentations celebrates 10 years of creative, fun and interesting art history presentations!!!!
Well last year was a busy one! Whew! None the less I am excited to begin 2019! As promised last year, I have just started my research on Peter Paul Rubens, I am really having an awesome time getting to know Rubens better. I think you all will enjoy getting to know him better as well. Coming This Fall 2019.  It is the 3rd week of the new year, and so far I have revamp "Themes of Love" presentation, which begins February the 1st.  I also updated the "Easter Story told Through Works of Art" presentation, this new version begins April the 1st. My newest art history presentation "Diego Velazquez; The Great Spanish Painter" Comes out this March 2019 and will run intermittently run through the year ending September the 1st. 2019.
Besides the great Rubens coming out this year 2019, Because of the success of my two "The Great Masterpieces of the Louvre museum, 1 &2" I am excited to announce I am going to also begin research on the Uffizi Gallery Museum in Florence.  My other favorite museum.  This should be very interesting as well.
So as you can see I have a busy year already planned.  I am excited and grateful that I am still enjoy creating theses different art history presentations, after 10 years!  I like to see the human being in artist, the humor, the sensibilities, the love and drive of the artist.  I find that so fascinating.  And the works of art they created, simply astonishes me. The God given talent takes your breathe away.
Ok, I have to go, Peter Paul Ruben is waiting...

2018! Already?? Happy New Year to you all.

It is only two weeks into the New Year 2018 and already  I have:  Created a NEW version of "The Easter Story told Through Works of Art". Begins March 1st, 2018.
I have nearly completed my research for Part Two of "The Great Masterpieces of the Louvre Museum, Part Two". <<Very Interesting! Begins May 1st, 2018, in Colorado, (as the awesome facilities throughout Colorado have already enjoyed part one
I am looking forward to sharing The Louvre part one across the United States in 2018
I so much enjoy the research, the learning of something new, that is why I thoroughly enjoy my journey through the Louvre and the layers of history associated with the Louvre Museum.
But... now it is time to move on, to take a different route, a different journey!  I am very excited to announce that I am adding another artist to my collection of biographies and art history presentations!
Seville, Spain, Here I come! I can not wait to get to know "Diego Velazquez, The Great Spanish Painter"! coming out this Fall 2018!

The Great Masterpieces of the Louvre

posted Jun 30, 2017, 8:17 AM by cynthia peer

The Great Masterpieces of the Louvre is complete!!!! I really like this one!  I have learned the history of the Louvre.  How it went from a fortress, to Royal residents to the great Louvre Museum. So I have a little quiz for you:
What was the first work of art that would become the beginnings of the collection of the Louvre?
Which Italian artist was the first Italian to have his works of art displayed inside the Louvre?
Where was the great statue "Winged Victory" found?
Send your answers to me on face book!

We are nearly 5 months into 2017.  I have been very busy since last I wrote.  I have been fortunate to be able to have seen nearly all of my regular facilities and several NEW facilities throughout the year, My husband enjoyed another cruise, while I worked so hard! (just teasing!) Well someone needs to get us on-board, and I enjoy sharing my love of art history anyway.  So this past year the cruise started in Venice, Italy, Croatia, several other beautiful locations in between, ending our trip in Athens, Greece, my new favorite city!
As usual my brain has been swirling with several new ideas for NEW presentations this 2017!  But which ones will I choose, it is so hard to decide..... Well you are going to have to go to "The Presentations" page to find out what presentations I have in store for you this year!

And all ready it has been a very busy year.  I did have time to relax, and write/research the month of January 2016, and then hit the ground running February the 1st.  I have been to Florida and back with the "Johannes Vermeer" presentation, so far it has been a HIT! And next I am off to sunny Arizona to bring to them 2 presentations this Easter season. "The Easter Story told Through Works of Art" and "Johannes Vermeer; The Sphinx of Delft".  After this trip to Arizona I will have the opportunity to stay here in Colorado during the most beautiful time of the year (at least to me) and create the new presentation "Italy's Masterpieces".  I am looking froward to the research and to writing this new presentation which will begin August 1st, 2016.

Its is 2016 and another year flew by!

I really hope this new year finds everyone happy and healthy.  Thankfully I have had another busy year.  Starting off 2015 with a new version of the Easter Story, ending the year with a new version of the Christmas Story as always.  In between I had a great time all over the US presenting "The Controversial Caravaggio" wow what a character!  The other new presentation in 2015 "The Women of Impressionism" was also well received and enjoyed, as the women have never been highlighted in their own exhibition, no famous men involved, just the ladies, until 2013! So it was a pleasure to bring this presentation to so many people.  I was also lucky enough to present this presentation ":The Women of Impressionism" and 7 other presentations on a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona, around Spain and Portugal, and back to the States.  What a wonderful time for both my husband and myself, to enjoy a cruise, meet the wonderful people we met, and still be able to do what I love, share my interest in art history with any one who will sit long enough and listen!  I am so ready for a new year, excited to create another presentation, to traveling around presenting, to enjoying the new and wonderful things I will see, do and learn this year!

Oh My Goodness 2015 Already!

2014 was a fun and productive year for me here at Peer Presentations.  I have enjoyed presenting my "brand" of art history all over the US and transatlantic because of love the response, the questions, and what seems to me, down right enjoyment as they view these wonderful, amazing works of art.  As promised "The Controversial Caravaggio" is completed and I am already on the road presenting this presentation.
Surprising even me, I have already completed another presentation for 2015! "The Women of Impressionism" which will be out May 1st, 2015.  I think this one is going to be a hit!  I have certainly enjoyed the research.  I also plan to add another biography to my "Masterpiece" series this year.  I have chosen to do this biography on Joannes Vermeer, one of the most famous artist of the Dutch Golden Age.  Vermeer seems very interesting to me, so I am looking forward to beginning the research and the peek into his life.

As you can tell, as always, I am excited about a new year and for all the opportunities that it will bring!   I hope you all have a fantastic 2015!
